I’ve always loved to travel. Every trip I take feels like an adventure, a chance to experience new cultures, see incredible landmarks, and meet fascinating people. But more than that, I have this habit: I like to bring a piece of wherever I go back home with me. And my favorite keepsakes? Snow globes.
There’s just something magical about them. A tiny world, trapped in a swirl of glitter, capturing the essence of a place. I’ve collected so many over the years—from Paris to Cape Town to Dubai. But one day, while dusting my collection, it hit me: Why don’t we have snow globes for Nigeria?
Think about it. Nigeria, with all its iconic landmarks and rich culture, didn’t have a single snow globe to call its own. And that realization just didn’t sit right with me. So I thought, If no one’s going to make them, why not me? And the rest, as they say, is history.
For Nigerians abroad, there’s always that ache for home—a longing for the bustling streets, the vibrant markets, the music, the food, and the chaos we somehow find comforting. I wanted Nigeria in a Box to be that bridge.
Imagine being thousands of miles away but having a snow globe of Tafawa Balewa Square sitting on your shelf. One shake, and suddenly, you’re standing at the heart of Lagos, surrounded by history and memories. That’s the kind of feeling I wanted to create—one of belonging and connection, no matter where you are
Creating Nigeria’s first-ever snow globes isn’t just about souvenirs; it’s about representation. We’re taking the landmarks and symbols we grew up with, the ones that mean so much to us, and putting them on a global stage.
And it’s not just for Nigerians. These snow globes are for tourists who’ve fallen in love with our country, for collectors who crave something unique, and for anyone who appreciates the blend of nostalgia and artistry.
We’re just getting started. While the Danfo, the National Theatre, the Ikoyi Link Bridge and the Tafawa Balewa Square are the first in our collection, there’s so much more to come. Imagine snow globes featuring Zuma Rock, Olumo Rock, or even a historical statue like Moremi Statue of Liberty. We’re working hard to make it happen, and we’d love to hear your ideas on what to feature next.
At its core, Nigeria in a Box is a love letter to Nigeria—a country as vibrant, complex, and beautiful as the people who call it home. It’s about creating something timeless that celebrates who we are and where we come from.
So, whether you’re looking for a gift, a keepsake, or just a little piece of home, our snow globes are here to remind you of the magic of Nigeria—one shake at a time.
